To join, please complete and return your application to NYPIRG along with the annual membership dues of $30 ($20 for senior citizens). To speed the process, you can call NYPIRG directly to fill out an application via fax and charge your dues to a credit card. Membership dues are renewable every August and are tax-deductible. If you are already a member of NYPIRG, just complete the application. Also, if you refer a friend to us, and they join, your next year1s membership will be waived. Once NYPIRG receives the application, you will be assigned to a participating oil company in your area (note: you can only remain with your present oil company if it is one of the companies with which we contract). It takes approximately 10 business days for NYPIRG Fuel Buyers Group and the oil company to process an application. After the oil company runs a standard credit check, they call the new member to set up an appointment to inspect the burner, sign a service contract and discuss the delivery plan.
