French Hills Golf Course

The second of two Donald Trump golf course projects in the watershed, French Hill, is planned for a site in Yorktown just north of the New Croton Reservoir and adjacent to Turkey Mountain Park. Converting the heavily forested and hilly 155-acre site into a golf course would create a significant threat to the water supply from pesticide, nutrient, and sediment-laden runoff. Unlike his Seven Springs proposal, Trump has not offered to construct any advanced stormwater treatment system, thereby exposing the Croton to a heightened contamination threat.
NYPIRG, along with other environmental groups and the Watershed Inspector General, is working with local residents and citizens groups in the fight against this unnecessary and unwise development.
