NYPIRG HOME ENVIRONMENT CONSUMER FUEL BUYERS GROUP
Seven Springs Golf Course

This project, located in the Towns of Bedford and North Castle, is one of two Donald Trump golf course proposals in the Watershed. Stormwater runoff would carry high levels of pesticides, fertilizers, and sediment from this 213-acre site, which drains, not only into the Croton Reservoir but also into Byram Lake, the sole source of drinking water for the Town of Mt. Kisco. Trump has proposed to construct a "Linear Absorption System" to capture and treat this runoff; however, no such system has ever been constructed or tested. NYPIRG, along with other environmental groups, is working with local residents, the Town of Mt. Kisco, and citizens groups in the fight against this unnecessary and unwise development.
