HAVA: National Advocacy
National Advocacy.
This primarily covers Coalition activities during the debate over passage
of HAVA in Congress. Most of the material focuses on the Act’s
regressive voter identification provisions. A selection is presented
below. Since passage of HAVA, many Coalition groups have participated
in the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights advocacy on HAVA.
