Thirty years ago, students from across the state came together to create
a better New York. Working with consumer advocate Ralph Nader, they founded
NYPIRG. Today, with chapters on 20 campuses, NYPIRG is New York State's
largest student-directed advocacy organization. Students work with a staff
of professionals to fight for lower tuition,
a cleaner environment, social
justice, consumer protection, student
rights and more.
